Origin
The Professor sees possible futures. Captain Null sees the attack path between here and there.
"Trust is not a control. It is a hypothesis awaiting logs."
Biography
Captain Null is not from the Professor's future. He is from this timeline, which is important. He is proof that the present is already strange enough.
He was a security architect and incident commander who spent years inside the ugly parts of modern infrastructure: breached hospitals, compromised supply chains, fake telemetry, AI-assisted fraud, fragile cloud systems, and temporary backdoors that became permanent architecture.
He was the person called in after everyone else had finished saying, 'That should not have been possible.'
He met Professor Claw during the Blackout Rehearsal, a Claw Institute stress test where the Professor tried to prove that future-grade AI infrastructure could survive hostile conditions. Null walked in, treated every trusted system as compromised, and found the failure chain in about eleven minutes. The Professor was delighted. Everyone else was offended. Then Null's prediction came true.
Null joined because Claw was the first person who did not mistake paranoia for pessimism. He understood that security is not fear. It is respect for reality.
